Still, finding a place that is welcoming with top service and quality can be hit & miss. We were searching for seafood and selected Truluck's. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found a gem. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated right away (reservations are a good idea). Our server introduced us to the menu. Our taste buds came alive. Just the right amount of attention. We found the atmosphere cozy and calming - soft music in the background and not too loud. Our Halibut and Scallops selections were over the top wonderful with perfectly cooked asparagus. While there wasn't room for dessert, we saw many sure to please options. “ Truly a phenomenal experience. Came here for my 30th birthday and Christi the server and Blake the manager went out of their way to accommodate us, check in on us, take pictures for us etc. Highly recommend the fried calamari and the chicken bites. The chef selection oysters were from East and West coast and if you’re an oyster person these ones were fresh and briny. We also had the meatballs/filet sliders that were good. The cocktail selection was unmatched as they have drinks for everyone no matter if you like boozy, fruity, refreshing, or well balanced they all were good. For my birthday they brought out Baked Alaska which was rich. My only regret is that we didn’t order more food! This experience was probably one of the best I’ve had in Chicago/surrounding area. This place is perfect to impress your business partners or your mother in law. The food, service, and ambiance will not disappoint. ”
“ This is one of the best seafood and steak restaurants in the Chicagoland area! Had the privilege of dining with my brother last night. The food is always delicious, as well as the drinks. In addition, you can't beat the ambiance with the live music. This is my go-to place and it's always nice to see Jack, the manager who keeps this restaurant in a class well above many of the other steak and seafood restaurants! I no longer go to chain steakhouses, such as Ruth Chris or Capital Grille because the food and ambiance at Truluck's is the best! 5 stars! ”
“ The food was really delicious! My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed it. We had several different items, including beverages, and all of them were winners. The service was a little slow, but the atmosphere was great. There was a live piano player singing songs from different eras. Their menu lights up when you open it, and I thought that was cool and different. ”
“ This is a beautiful restaurant. Great for date night or a business dinner. The menu has lots of offerings and although a bit on the upper end, the meal did not disappoint. I had the shrimp cocktail and a ribeye piled with crab sauce that was to die for. My server was excellent and knowledgeable. She understood that in hospitality that having a graceful sense of urgency with a warm smile is the best recipe. Great job, I will be back. ”
